Okay, so that lasted all of what, 45 minutes?
Absolutely devastating news came out of Montreal early today, with RDS breaking the way announcing that Andrei Markov will be out of the game for [up to] four months including rehab.
In short, the only hockey he is going to be seeing is on TV until about after the Olympic games set in Vancouver in February.
Just a side note before continuing: Markov was the last Canadien from last season to steadily wear the "A" in the past.

So it's 7 days past the free agent frenzy and Montreal has been turned upside down. CJAD wouldn't stop talking about the prospect of getting Vincent Lecavalier into town before his no-trade kicks in, and there where more then enough rumors to throw around and feed the hockey-fueled city. We had rumors of Hossa and Gaborik and everything in between Canada and Russia.

Defenceman Tomas Kaberle (hand) returns to the lineup tonight. This marks the final game of Martin Gerber's suspension for abuse of official and Curtis Joseph gets the start in goal. Newly signed Christian Hanson skated today but will not play tonight. - TSN

(Sports Network) - Having locked up their first division crown in five years, the Bruins can now worry about holding onto the top spot in the Eastern Conference. Boston will resume that quest tonight versus the Toronto Maple Leafs at Air Canada Centre.
